Graeme has recently rejoined us, so we thought a good way to welcome him back to the team would be to ask him to share his Guilty Pleasure list with us all. He’s got some crackers on here.
1. Prefab Sprout – The King of Rock ‘N’ Roll
Absolute belter of a track. Not really a guilty pleasure, just 80′s cheese at its finest.
2. Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Murder on the Dancefloor
I was seven years old the first time this song burned its catchy groove into my brain. I’ve loved it ever since.
3. Avril Lavigne – I’m With You
Avril Lavinge was the first music artist I went to see live in concert. This was (and still is) my favourite Avril song.
4. B*Witched – C’est la Vie
I love blasting this out at social gatherings and hearing everyone collectively sigh. It never fails to make me smile.
5. Natasha Bedingfield – These Words
Natasha was the most underrated Bedingfield. I’d choose this song over “Gotta Get Thru This” any day of the week.
6. Steps – Tragedy
Even saying the word “tragedy” triggers this song to start playing in my brain. I never bothered learning the dance routine though.
7. Bomfunk MC’s – Freestyler
This song is complete nonsense but I’m so happy it exists.
8. Hawaii 5-0 Theme
This is another one of those tracks that people question me playing at parties.
9. The Tornados – Telstar
Another of my strange party playlist choices. I am usually revoked access to the music player after trying to play this one.
10. Cheryl Feat. Tinie Tempah – Crazy Stupid Love
I really can’t justify this one. Those catchy brass lines just keep dragging me back in.
