As a musician or record label who has spent months creating your music, there comes a time when you’re ready to release it into the world. There are many options available, and it really depends what you’re trying to achieve. Music distribution is the most effective way to get your music heard and get paid for what you do.
How Music Distribution Works
Music distribution is the process of sending your music to stores and platforms for fans to enjoy. It can take many different forms, depending on what it is you’re releasing. This could be your latest music video, or your physical product. However, you can also distribute your digital music to a much wider audience.
Releasing your music doesn’t have to be difficult or daunting, but we do realise that it can appear confusing. All you need is the right distribution partner to help you along the way.
Get Started with Music Distribution
Once you have your finished tracks, and they have been mastered to a professional standard, it is worth taking a little time to make sure that your music files and artwork files are also in the correct format. This quick check may save you some time further down the road.
Once done, you’re ready to choose which package best suits your needs. From there, you will gain access to MyClientZone and can begin uploading your music to us. When you are ready, our distribution team will make sure there aren’t any issues which could slow down your release. We want to make sure that your release goes smoothly, as we know this is important to you too.
When everything is correct, we will send your release to our network of over 200 stores and platforms around the world. You can rest assured that your release is handled safely and royalties are passed back to you at the earliest opportunity. There are also no minimum payouts for UK-based clients.
Our direct relationships with stores mean that releases can be live on the major stores within 24-48 hours. However we do recommend that you submit your release to us up to 6 weeks in advance to ensure that the release goes live in all stores without any issues.
If you’re looking to protect your music, we can help. We believe artists and labels deserve to be paid for their work, so our partners remove infringing links to your music. This is automatically included as part our distribution service.
Additionally, you can log in to your account on MyClientZone to check how well your release is doing.
Please do let us know if you need any assistance, our team will be happy to help.
