Horus Music has always had a keen interest in the Indian music market. Since the launch of Horus Music India in 2017, we have worked with artists and labels from across the country and expanded our services to offer direct distribution contracts with Indian DSPs, local customer support and marketing packages within the territory.
In our continuing quest of investing in Indian talent, we have been partnering with various local companies that has enabled us to offer unique opportunities to our artists and labels.
We’re now happy to be going that extra mile and reaching out to a new audience through our latest partnership with music education and DJing school Lost Stories Academy. With this tie up, we aim to educate students on the practical processes within the music industry with the intent to empower budding young talent with enough real-world information to confidently release original music. The partnership extends to sister company, Anara Publishing, who will provide an insight on the Publishing industry through its Music Publishing Simplified webinars.
Lost Stories Academy is a premier music education and DJing school founded by India’s most prominent electronic acts, Lost Stories. LSA aims to impart technical knowledge of music production, mixing, mastering, audio engineering, and music business and acquaint aspiring musicians with tools to support their marketing, public relations, editorial support on streaming platforms, and much more to excel in the music industry. Lost Stories Academy is where artists innovate and collaborate and where artistic and cultural diversity is embraced and celebrated. Prayag Mehta Co-founder / Partner at Lost Stories Academy commented on the recent partnership:
“We are now proud and elated to announce our partnership with Horus Music & Anara Publishing. Being a global leader in the music industry, Horus Music will be playing a pivotal role in guiding and supporting LSA students to understand music publishing and distribution in detail and thus empower them with immense knowledge about major facets of the music industry. This partnership between Horus Music and Lost Stories Academy will be turning a new page in the Indian music education sphere.”
Horus Music India will be conducting workshops on Music Distribution and Marketing, for the students on Lost Stories Academy’s business module. The webinars will provide independent musicians information on what music distribution is, how to find the right distributor and how to make the most of the relationship with your distributor. It will also touch upon the importance of Playlisting, PR, Pre-order/Pre-Save campaigns, YouTube advertising, and other tips to create an effective marketing strategy around their release.
In the past, similar webinars have been conducted in association with music conferences, studios, and artist development programs.
We are looking forward to educating the students of Lost Stories Academy and providing them a better position to enter the music market as well-informed independent musicians.
